About Leigh
Leigh has been active all her life: From tearing through the woods as a tenacious 10-year-old to long-distance running, she has never stopped moving. She first came to yoga hoping it would help her sit still. It did, indeed, and she’s been on the mat ever since. Having practiced yoga for more than 10 years, she finds that the perfect confluence of movement and stillness in a vinyasa practice keeps her consistently grounded in this sometimes very chaotic world.
Leigh is an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance. She was certified at the Yoga Tree in San Francisco, under the amazing tutelage of Stephanie Snyder, Elise Lorimer, Jamie Lindsay, and Darren Main. Leigh has also trained with influential teachers such as Seane Corn and Sarah Powers, and she couldn’t live without the mentoring of her teacher and friend Kerri Kelly.
About Leigh’s Classes
Leigh’s vinyasa classes are playful and challenging. She weaves together fluid sequencing to help students open their bodies, build strength, and quiet the busy mind’s chatter. With a sense of humor and an infectious love for yoga, she blends careful alignment with a relaxed attitude to help bring inaccessible poses a little closer to the accessible. With a strong focus on core engagement and moving with the breath, her classes build heat, detoxify the body, and help students work to attain the ultimate benefits from their practice.
